The most popular webcam around for the past couple of years.
The quality, the video picture This thing
Throws out is simply insane.
So much so that Lots of movie creators have been
Using this webcam to create video content
Over using an actual camera.
Which is this one, that's the update from the C920.
However, is it worth the upgrade?
In this video we will take a look at the two webcams,
And I'll run through all You'll Need to know
If you're contemplating purchasing or upgrading.
So I'm starting off with the pricing.
The C920 still sells for $54.99 US,
So there is not a massive gap between the two.
So when you're looking at the two cameras side-by-side,
You'll see there is not a lot visually different
They have replaced the blue lights on
So they do not stand out as much.
And the only other really noticeably difference
Is the Logitech logo is really
Much bigger today on the C922.
Both of these cameras have a fantastic
In an assortment of ways or on different size monitors
really easily.
They also both have a standard tripod thread in the bottom,
So that you could mount them directly to the tripod.
And included with the C922 is a miniature tripod
30 frames per second, and 720P at 30 frames per second,
But the new C922 also supports
Which is really designed for players
And for livestreaming while gaming.
Logitech camera management software to give you
With this video, both webcams are set to purchase.
The Logitech camera settings app
And they will provide you things like manual focus,
The ability to lockdown whether it is capturing
50 hertz or 60 hertz for PAL or NTSC
Like brightness, contrast,
Colour intensity and white balance.
Is to provide you a Terrific image straight after
Plugging the camera
And it's no different with these two.
You can see the image quality on the both of them is superb.
Currently looking at the two images side-by-side,
The Logitech C922 is a bit brighter.
We now examine the autofocus did look
Slightly more responsive and more precise using the C922,
But both of these work pretty good.
Now while Both These webcams will let you record
At 1080P 30 frames per second using software
Like Quicktime on Mac, which is what we're doing at the moment,
The Logitech C920 will not allow you to make calls
They will be limited to 720P, at least on Mac.
With the Logitech C920 at 1080P 30 frames per second,
Using apps like Skype.
Another new feature that comes with this Logitech C922
Is background removal, and it utilizes applications,
Or additional digital webcam, called Personify.
But when I say regrettably
It is probably not too much of a loss,
Because in our evaluations and a heap of other films
I've seen online, it does not really work that well.
Loads of the time it ends up masking out your hands
Or any hand movement.
The edges of your face and your hair look terrible.
And it really doesn't work well at all
If your head is not facing straight at the camera.
So my suggestion, then, no matter
Which one of those webcams you're using
And whether you are using Mac or PC,
If you want background removal, use a green screen
Does look pretty good.
It has lost quite a bit of detail and its a softer image,
However, the 60 frames per second functions as it should
And pushes through a significantly smoother video image.
This is the Logitech C922 in 720P at 60 frames per second.
In motion or action in this video because it is
going to be exported at 25 frames per second,
You will notice the quality loss.
You will see not just the quality decrease
Because of the resolution change,
'cause we were at sites.google.com 1080, today we're at 720,
However you will see the quality loss from the detail.
It almost looks like the beauty mode,
Or the selfie manner on Samsung smartphones,
Where it softens the details
So as to make you look ehome webcam with microphone more beautiful.
However, as a small webcam app putting 720P 60 frames per second
It does a fairly good job.
Here is what the sound sounds like between the two.
seven, eight, nine, ten.
So you can see there's not a Big Difference
between the two.
So with this shot here I've really got
Two softbox lights which are light me up.
Let us see how the webcams go when I turn off those lights.
So you can see today the Logitech C922
Has a slightly brighter picture,
At least in the darker regions of the shot.
So which one should you get and is it worth the upgrade?
Well, straight out, if you want
60 frames per second at 720P,
Then it is a no-brainer to go the C922.
Possibly the biggest advantage the C922 has
Over the C920 so far as I'm concerned
Is your 1080P video calling.
So using programs or programs like Skype
and having that ability to make calls in 1080P.
I do like the slightly faster and more accurate
Autofocus on the Logitech C922 also.
If You're just looking for a decent camera
To capture 1080P 30 frames per second videos
Directly into your personal computer,
Then they are going to be much of a muchness.
So there's the side-by-side comparison
of the Logitech C920 and the Logitech C922 webcams.
If you are interested in finding out how you can get
Terrific results recording your Skype calls,
Then check out the video that is connected on the display now.
See you soon.
