What's going on everybody this is Kevin
here coming at you with a comparison
between the Logitech c920
so these are two top-tier webcams
offered by Logitech of course the c9 - -
is technically the successor to the c920
but these two webcams are still
offered on the market and in fact the c9
- - is currently selling for $100 and
the c920 is selling for 64 so really the
objective of this video is for you to be able
to compare the video quality between
these two webcams and then to have the ability to
decide from there which of the two is
better for your needs now before we dive
on in to a head-to-head side-by-side
comparison between the two webcams I
wish to go over some of the new features
and benefits that come along with the c9
- - so the most notable new feature has
to be that the c9 - - can record in 60
frames per second at 720p whereas the
c920 is capped out at 30 frames per
second at 1080p so and then of course
the C 92 - can still do 1080p but it is
limited at 30 frames per second webcam with great microphone so
having that ability to film and record
in 60 frames per second is pretty nice I
won't lie especially for people that are
gamers and are doing face cams on their
gameplay that's a excellent feature for them
and this webcam is designed to work
directly with the xsplit software that
is very popular with people that stream
their gameplay on services such as
twitch and YouTube gaming another
extra feature that has been added
with the c9 - - is that it can have a
look at your background and then compare
your background or whatever is moving in
the foreground and almost create
like a green screen effect now in my
private testing I've noticed that this
feature does not work very well and
you will see there's other videos in
YouTube where they show demonstrations
of this and you can see that it just
doesn't work the way that a green screen
would work the degree of quality is just
not there and then finally really the
last major advantage that you will get with
the c9 - - is that it does better in low
light environments and it just general
has a better picture and that's what
this video is going to be focusing on
this video is give you showing you how
these two stack up together video
quality wise and of course as you might
have imagined I have been recording this
video so far with the c9 - - so right
after this I will switch over to
the c920 and you'll be able to compare the two
alright so I have now switched over to
the Logitech c920 and from here you will have the ability to get an idea of how the video
quality compares between the two webcams
but I will say that I've been very
satisfied with my c920
and for that reason I was really excited
when I saw that Logitech had announced
the c9 - - because I figured it would be
building upon the strong base they've
already started with with the Logitech
c920 so this video should give you a
pretty accurate representation of the
kind of quality you expect from the c920
of course I do have some studio lights
situated behind me which are providing
you know quite a lot of light to the
situation here I think that's a really good thing to show you the full ability
of this webcam in good lighting
situations as you can see here is the
head head comparison between the two
webcams so on the Left we have the
Logitech c920 gatech c920 and I can
already tell a substantial difference
between these two webcams so the c9 - -
appears to have better color saturation
but a muddier picture whereas the c920
is a little bit more washed out but it's
crispier and not so muddy looking so you've got to decide on your own which of
these two you prefer but this is with no
plugins no add-ins this is just the raw
webcam video quality that comes into
ScreenFlow which is the program that I'm
using to record this entire movie so I
think after looking at these two pictures you can decide which one is better for
you personally I kind of like the c920
